Parents Advisory Group

Parents Advisory Group (PAG) is a group who represent Sekolah Pelita Harapan parents. Parental involvement in decision-making is the key to having policies and programs that support families’ strengths and needs.

Regular meetings are advertised to involve parents in the life of the classroom and school.  Formal involvement is through the PAG where parent representatives meet with school leaders.  Parents are encouraged and welcomed to work closely and directly with teachers to resolve any student issues. PAG play important roles to create closer ties between parents and teachers, give feedbacks for academic excellence for children, help school workers’ welfare and create awareness through events.

We do so by offering parenting classes and the opportunity for parents to observe in the classroom. At Sekolah Pelita Harapan we strive to build and model Christ-like relationships. A healthy relationship between a parent and a teacher is a must in order to ensure that a child has a rewarding educational experience; whether the child is in preschool, elementary, junior high, or high school. We recognize that you as parents are the primary educators of your children. Your involvement does not stop when your children arrive at school. We welcome you to be involved informally and formally. We invite you to be involved in your child’s education both at home and school. It is our belief — that though parents are to be the primary teachers and role models for their children — our role as a school is to go beside them in support and love.
