Giovani Prayitno

Hi, my name is Giovani Prayitno. I went to SPH from kindergarten until high school. I graduated in 2009 and after that, I went to Biola University for four years. And at Biola University, I studied Management Information Systems and I also minored in Psychology. And today I work in UPH. I am the Office Manager for Residence Life.

What was your most memorable experience at SPH?

First of all, I must say that the study environment in SPH is probably one of the best. I think the school environment if you come and visit yourself, you will be able to witness it and just feel the green, the design, and everything just support and help you focus on your studies. And second of all, I would say it will be the teachers. The teachers because I spent I think half of my life here so I would say that my teachers played a big role in shaping who I am today in how I think, in how I in my character and also in my spiritual life. So, they become mentors for me and it is also helped me to become a mentor for others as I grew up. And now the teachers today, they’re also my friends and also my partners in ministry.

What makes SPH different?

You can actually see how the teachers teach you, not only academically but also mentoring you, talking to you as a person. They care for you genuinely. So, it’s just the community that cares for you and loves you for who you are, and want you to grow and develop you. I think that’s because the background is with our Christian faith.

Any message for current SPH students?

Just really enjoy your time in SPH. If you can join like sports activities, music or arts just do it and try. Don’t be afraid to try. You can fail but there’s always, you can always recover from it, just don’t give up and just enjoy your time with your friends, just cherish it. And one more thing, it would be this built meaningful relationship to learning another where you can grow as a good person, and also spiritually, and also that can grow your character.
