SPH Sentul City’s boarding facility also comes with comprehensive supervision and security, as well as a tightly-knit community guided by dorm parents and supervisors. We also provide pastoral program for students, both at school and at our boarding facility or Pelita Harapan House (PHH). This program helps students to grow in their spiritual and psychological aspects. The school also provides academic tutors for students who require additional support in some subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, and Indonesian Language.
SPH utilizes both programs to support students’ acquisition of the knowledge and skills they need to achieve at school, university and beyond. We value both curricular for their focus on inquiry and learning how to learn (IB) and clear learning outcomes (Cambridge). We infused these globally recognized standards with Christ-centred and bible-based perspectives to meet students' needs, thus creating a unique learning system.
With either program, SPH enforces a rigorous curriculum and variety of assessment methods that nurture love of learning and enhance critical thinking. SPH offers preferred options on how best to ensure excellent educational experience and personal development for a successful future.
SPH sees the IB curriculum as the best pathway to prepare our students for higher education in Indonesia and within other countries. The IB focuses on each student as a whole person. Thus, this program addresses not only cognitive development but also social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
Under the IB Program, students value learning as an essential part of their daily lives. This program inspires students to be inquisitive and set personal objectives. The IB Program develops true knowledge through the ability to make ethical judgements, flexibility, perseverance and confidence, and encourages healthy relationships through shared responsibilities and effective teamwork.
The Cambridge curriculum’s objective in each stage, supports students to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged.
The Cambridge curriculum at SPH is infused with Christ centred and bible-based perspectives to meet our student needs. This program is flexible, challenging and inspiring, culturally sensitive but international in approach. At SPH, we want each student to fulfil their potential and make the most of their God-given strengths and interests. To that end, we offer a wide range of subjects and let every student pursue deeper learning in the subjects they're best at.
“SPH KV stands on the Biblical perspective and Biblical world-view: True Knowledge, Faith in Christ, and Godly Character. That was instilled in me when I was very young, and so I’m blessed to have grown up with that vision and mission
SPH has watched my entire growth since I was a pioneer student of SPH Kemang Village in the 2nd grade. Ever since I was small, there has been constant support and love. I know that they look out for me, care for me, and that I can talk to anyone. I never once felt scared to voice my opinion or how I was feeling to any of the teachers. Especially in my IBDP years, I have been supported by my IB coordinator and teachers, since IB is very tough to manage. My counsellor helped me a lot, and, although it wasn’t easy, they all have guided me through.”

“SPH really taught us how to think and not only what to think, and that is really important.
SPH doesn’t only focus on academics, but also on personal development in terms of character building through a lot of one-on-one times with our teachers. That helps us to develop ourselves to be agents of change that will positively impact the people around us.”

“The curriculum taught in SPH LC, specifically the IB curriculum, has given me the opportunity to choose any subjects offered by the school, giving us the freedom to study what we actually enjoy learning about.
We are also trained in how to write essays, give presentations, and answer exam questions which have helped a lot in university. Another strong point of SPH is the bond between teachers and students that feels different from other schools. The teachers are always giving their best effort and always try to make the learning interactive for their students. Teachers are always available, anytime, and they are always there to support students.”

“SPH Sentul City and Pelita Harapan House (PHH) taught me many life lessons. When I lived at PHH, my parents were not there. I realized that my freedom required me to choose to become responsible and independent.
I also developed good relationships with my teachers, supervisors, and staff members at school. Likewise, I viewed my teachers as mentors, my supervisors as big brothers and sisters, and staff members as friends.
The environment at SPH Sentul City and PHH are loving, caring, and disciplined, rooted in the right foundation. During my first year of college, I found the transition fairly easy and manageable, due to my previous school and dorm life experience.”

“A lot of schools are motivated by achieving high academic results. To them, numbers matter more than people. At SPH, people matter more than the numbers.
My time at SPH truly impacted me, and one of the highlights was the caring teachers and community. When I was at SPH, I was a delinquent student to say the least. I never really listened to my teachers and often fell asleep in class. I now realize that even though I did not listen, a lot of teachers paid attention to me and cared for me. SPH is not a place that expels or rejects you, instead, it is a community that pursues you because they truly care. They invite you back in to restore you. For example, Mr. Brian Cox, former Head of School, was my ethics teacher. I once asked a rebellious question in his class. He didn’t shun me, but instead invited me for coffee in his office to talk.”
