SPH SUMMER 2024 Terms & Policy
Medical Attention & Health Protocols:
- There will be a doctor/nurse on call during the summer camp.
- In case of an accident/medical emergency, the doctor/nurse will assess the student’s condition, give first-aid treatments when necessary and determine if further action is required. If necessary, the student will be transported to the nearest hospital for appropriate medical care. Parents will be informed, and all related medical expenses will be the responsibility of the parents or legal guardians. Parents will not charge any party accountable if an accident/medical emergency happens.
- Students with unhealthy symptoms (fever above 37.3, cold & cough) might be sent home, at the discretion of SPH Summer Campus Principal/Coordinator. Parents will be notified by the Summer Committee.
- Sick students will be asked to stay home to prevent the spread of illness to others.
- Wearing masks is recommended especially for classroom activities, especially for students with slight allergy symptoms like slight cold and cough. However, according to SPH Policy, it depends on the parental decision whether a student should wear mask or not, particularly if they are healthy. We ask that you supply face mask & spare face masks for your children if you decide that they should wear masks during the summer activities.
Outsourced Camp Leaders
SPH Summer contracts with organizations that are independent partners (not employees of SPH) to provide some of the services, and to conduct some of the activity participants may engage in. SPH has made efforts to locate responsible partners, however SPH can’t fully control these partners and is not legally liable for their conduct.
Media Release
- SPH uses images, video and sound of children and staff participating as a way of documenting the experiences they have while learning, exploring, and playing during the programs.
- In consideration of the above, parents will consent to SPH (1) photographing and videotaping child participant, and (2) using images and sounds of child participant in SPH’s media publication including social media.
Refund Policy
All payments are final and non-refundable, except under the following special conditions:
- A 90% refund by transfer will be considered in the event of the student’s failure to attend the entire camp due to illness, injury, or medical conditions. A medical/doctor’s certificate must be provided as proof. No refund will be given if a student has already attended the camp but is unable to complete it.
- A full refund by transfer will be considered in the event of the student’s failure to attend the camp due to a death in the immediate family (including grandparents).
- A full refund by transfer will be given if SPH cancels the camp due to an insufficient number of participants or the unavailability of instructors.
- No refunds will be given for camp closures due to national or natural disasters.
