This year, SPH Sentul City collaborates with Kiddo.id to host an exciting hands-on learning program with Singapore Science Centre Global and Kidspreneurship. We have 4 programs offered for different age groups. Read more below!

Young Chemist Program (G1-G3)

I am a Young Chemist is an exciting hands-on learning program by Science Centre Singapore, designed for young minds eager to explore the wonders of chemistry. As part of the Young Scientist Badge Scheme, this program encourages students to engage in fun and interactive chemistry-related activities, deepening their understanding of chemical reactions, properties of matter, and real-world applications of science. Participants will complete a series of challenges and experiments, earning a Young Chemist badge and an e-certificate upon successful completion. Join the journey of discovery and ignite your passion for chemistry today!

CAMP SCHEDULE

Day 1:
- Exploding Snowman: Create a snowman and see how baking soda reacts towards the vinegar.
- Lemon Volcano: Creating a volcano from lemon and citrus fruits.
- Pump the balloon! Pumping the balloon using baking soda and plastic bottle.

Day 2:
- Chemical Traffic Light: Making the water green, red, and blue using chemical reactions.
- DIY Lava Lamp: Make a lava lamp using a chemical reaction.
- DIY Fire Extinguisher: Making a fire extinguisher, learning about carbon dioxide concept

Day 3:
- Making your own Bouncing Balls: Create a bouncing ball using Science.
- Making Slime: Make slime using psyllium seed husk.
- Toothpaste: Make your own toothpaste. State the materials that you use and explain the uses of each ingredient.

Young Digital Fabricator Program (G4-G6)

I Am a Young Digital Fabricator is an exciting hands-on program under the Young Scientist Badge Scheme by Science Centre Singapore, designed for primary school students (Grades 4-6) to explore the world of digital fabrication. This course focuses on Circuit Making, Microcontrollers, and 21st Century Planters, equipping students with essential skills in electronics, coding, and sustainable design. Through interactive projects, participants will build simple circuits, program microcontrollers, and create innovative planters using digital fabrication techniques. Upon successful completion, students will earn a Young Digital Fabricator badge and an e-certificate. Ignite your creativity and start making today!

Technopreneurship Program (G1-G9)

Create wireframes for mobile apps, learn mobile app coding, and utilize the design thinking process to identify problems and create effective solutions., Technopreneurship Camp is an innovative educational program designed to introduce children to the concepts of technology and entrepreneurship in a hands-on, experiential learning environment. The camp typically integrates elements of technology with principles of business and entrepreneurship.

Learning outcome: Participants understand the technical landscape and use technology to bring their ideas to life. They learn how to approach problems creatively. By the end, they identify a problem and develop a basic prototype of a mobile app to solve the problem.
