Michael Ortiz

Drawing upon over two decades in education—including more than six dedicated years here at SPH—I teach DP and MYP Mathematics with a deep commitment to student growth. My greatest passion is facilitating learning in dynamic ways, whether through engaging classroom discussions, hands-on exploration, or simply giving students the room and encouragement to figure things out for themselves. There is genuine joy in watching a student's confidence grow as they realize they understand much more than they initially thought.

My vision for SPH is to help nurture young people who go far beyond simply solving academic problems. I hope to see them grow into thoughtful, purposeful individuals who are firmly rooted in Christ and fully equipped to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
