SPH Lippo Cikarang’s Senior School students brought the beloved story of Oliver! J.R. to life in a memorable evening of music, drama, and community.

Inspired by Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, the production followed Oliver’s journey as he searched for home, identity, and love in a world marked by hardship. Through every scene and song, our students brought the story’s themes of belonging, compassion, justice, and hope to life.

But Oliver! J.R. was about more than what happened on stage. Weeks of rehearsals challenged our students to step outside their comfort zones, listen to one another, collaborate, and persevere. Along the way, they grew not only as performers but also as a team—using their God-given gifts with courage and creativity.

The production also reflected SPH’s commitment to holistic education through True Knowledge, Faith in Christ, and Godly Character. Through the dramatic, creative, and musical arts, students had the opportunity to develop confidence, collaboration, perseverance, and a deeper appreciation for the gifts God has given them.

At the heart of Oliver! J.R. was a reminder that even in the midst of brokenness, God continues to redeem, restore, and welcome us into a family where we are truly seen and valued.

We are incredibly proud of our students and deeply grateful to the teachers, staff, creative team, and parents whose dedication and support made this production possible.

To everyone involved, thank you for joining us on this unforgettable journey. May Oliver! J.R. continue to remind us of the hope, belonging, and unending grace of God.
