SPH Kemang Village Student Achieves Elite International Math Honors in AMO 2024 and SASMO 2025

Justin Woydill, a Grade 12 student at SPH Kemang Village, has demonstrated exceptional mathematical expertise by securing top-tier awards across two of the world's most competitive Olympiads. In October 2024, Justin earned a Silver Award at the American Mathematics Olympiad (AMO), an event that engages over 180,000 participants globally. He followed this success in early 2025 by securing a Gold Award at the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO), placing him in the top echelon of the 66,000 students competing from 42 different countries.
These competitions, organized by the Singapore International Math Contests Centre, are designed to challenge the limits of student logic and unconventional problem-solving. Achieving Gold and Silver at this level requires more than just academic knowledge; it demands the ability to navigate complex, non-routine problems under significant time pressure. As Justin prepares for his post-secondary journey, these international accolades highlight the high-level critical thinking and analytical rigor cultivated at SPH Kemang Village, marking him as a standout talent in the global STEAM community.
